So...Why Isn't ‘Cobra Kai’ Coming Back for Season 7? Here's What to Know About the Potential for an Extra Season
The Sekai Taikai might be over, but does that mean that Cobra Kai officially has to be done too? After all, the dojo's motto is literally "Cobra Kai never dies," so that means it has to keep going! Unfortunately, all fights must come to an end including this one, but that doesn't mean that karate is completely gone from the Valley.
Here's what we know about why Cobra Kai isn't coming back for a season 7.
Is season 6 really the last season of Cobra Kai?
As much as we really loved this show and seeing what was happening in Johnny and Daniel's rivalry turned friendship, the former All-Valley champs are closing their current chapter as they both continue to run their dojos. And now with both Kreese and Silver officially gone for good (although, are they???) things have finally settled down in the Valley. Plus, Sam, the Binary bros, Miguel, Robby, and Tory have officially graduated so they are now off to college away from the Valley and the dojos. And so this story has officially come to an end.
What are the chances of getting a surprise season with Cobra Kai season 7?
We've seen The Karate Kid come back time and time again, and even Cobra Kai was a special surprise for fans. No doubt there could be a chance we see all our favorite characters back again as they get older, but for now, there isn't any plans to bring the show back.
However, Daniel LaRusso will be back in Karate Kid: Legends where he'll be partnering up with Mr. Han, played by Jackie Chan, to train a new kid. So, the world is still expanding and there's always a chance another familiar face might appear. Since the movie doesn't come out until May 30, 2025, we're going to have to wait and see.
